At NeuDrip we get our Semaglutide medication from a local (United States) Compounding Pharmacy. Compounding pharmacies are regulated and inspected just like conventional pharmacy’s. The compounding pharmacy makes the medication and sends each batch out to get tested before it goes out to clients. This formula also contains Cyanocobalamin (B12) designed to cut down on nausea. Are you a candidate for Semaglutide?
There are three qualifications for semaglutide:

Must be an Arizona, California, Florida or Texas resident.
- Difficulty losing weight and maintaining weight loss for extended periods of time
- Weight-related complications due to a higher BMI.

What is Semaglutide for Weight Loss Treatment?
Semaglutide is a once-weekly injectable prescription medication that can assist patients with long-term weight management.
This treatment works to facilitate weight loss in several ways, including:
- Slowing stomach emptying
- Reducing appetite
- Increasing insulin release
Semaglutide is most effective as part of a comprehensive weight loss program that may include exercise, behavioral changes, calorie restriction, and diet changes as determined by a physician. Unlike many other weight loss medications, this medication can be used for long-term weight loss management.
How much does it cost and what do I get?
Includes:
- Lab order form and Lab reading
- Telemedicine visit with the Medical Provider
- Access to our Patient Portal and sms to our Medical Provider
- Issuance of a 3-month GLP-1a prescription (Wegovy, Ozempic, or Semaglutide)
Does not include:
- Cost of labs – however in most cases this is covered by your insurance provider
- Cost of medicine – some insurances will cover the cost of medications however the medication has been on back order for months. If your insurance does not cover it or if it is no available, we can send you to our preferred pharmacy which provides self pay options at a lower cost than most insurance copays.

Who may not be a candidate for Semaglutide?
There are rare situations where Semaglutide is contraindicated. ย Patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)ย should not take Semaglutide. ย If you are unsure if you are a candidate or not please call us to speak with our Medical Director.

What is the difference between Wegovy, Ozempic, and Semaglutide?
Wegovy and Ozempic both come as an auto injector just as many insulin medications do, this can significantly increase the price of the medication. The generic Semaglutide can be obtained as a injectable medication that has to be self dosed and administered through insulin syringes. Some insurances will cover certain brands and some insurances won’t cover any of them. Rest assure we have a lost cost option should your insurance not cover your prescription.
What are the side effects?
Like all medications, Semaglutide can cause side effects. Most side effects are minor and go away as your body adjusts to the medication after a few doses. Gradual dose increases over time can minimize potential gastrointestinal side effects. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal. Clinical trial participants reported nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gas, stomach pain, and heartburn. There was also an increased incidence of gallbladder disease. These side effects are common with all glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) agonists.
Side effects may include:
- Nausea
- Stomach pain
- Dizziness
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Heartburn
- Vomiting
- Fatigue
- Constipation
- Upset stomach
- Gas and/or bloating
Additional possible side effects that may cause serious side effects:
- Inflammation of the pancreas
- Gallbladder problems
- Serious allergic reactions
- Kidney problems
- Increased heart rate
- Increased risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

Will I need to diet or exercise?
While you don’t have to diet or exercise specifically with this medication it is strongly encouraged for long lasting weight loss and aids in the ability to make more permanent life changes. ย Adding a proper diet or exercise regimen will decrease the dose of the medication and possibly the length of treatment to see the desired results of clients.
What is included in the price?
The price of $450.00 includes 3 month written prescription, an telemedicine consults with our Medical Providers, diet education and coaching, lab slip for blood work, all follow up appointments, and sms messaging in the Patient Portal with our Medical Providers. ย Plans automatically renew after 3 months, however it can be canceled at anytime should you decide this isn’t for you.
Our Program is a 3 month commitment with each renewal.
What is not included in the price?
Not included are your initial lab fees, or the medication. ย Clients can decide whether they want to use their insurance for the lab fees and medication costs or pay out of pocket. ย NeuDrip MD is contracted with a speciality pharmacy that will ship you the medication directly should you chose to pay out of pocket.
What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is the โgeneric nameโ for Ozempic, Rybelsus, and Wegovy.
Which medication does NeuDrip write for?
At this time, NeuDrip writes for Semaglutide only.
How long can I be on Semaglutides?
Currently there are no restrictions on the duration of therapy. ย You can discuss with our Providers when it is an appropriate time to transition off of the medication. ย However, you should understand that by going off of the medication there will be increases in appetite and without proper lifestyle changes weight gain will be possible.
Why is it best to see a doctor for this medication?

You will be getting an email from us called OnPatient. It is our Client Portal. Once you find the email click “Sign
Up”. It will connect you to our office. Once in you will see your appointment, click โCheck Inโ and fill out the information needed. At the bottom will be consent forms to read and sign. You will click each one and agree. Then you are done!
At the time of your appointment you will receive a text message with your video link. It is a 30 minute video appointment and can be done from a computer browser or your cell phone, but please make sure you are in a quiet location.

What is the cancelation policy?
Semaglutide Membership: Once you are enrolled in the program the quarterly NeuDrip fee is automatically taken out of your account, per your first payment by square. ย We billed quarterly because the mediation can last up to or around 3 months. ย If you choose to cancel your membership for any reason within the first thirty (30) days you may do so by calling the office at 619-777-8662. ย If you choose to cancel within the first 30 days, for any reason including intolerance to the medication, you will receive $150.00 of your NeuDrip membership payment back. ย Example: If you pay $450 for the quarterly membership rate you will receive a $150 refund. ย The initial couple of months are vital for Client-Doctor communication and the provider must be reimbursed for their time. ย If you choose to cancel after the first 30 days you will lose out on the $450 in its entirety. ย The first 30 days starts the day you pay for your membership. ย We hate to see you go but understand things come up.
Medication: Sorry, no refunds on the medication as it is a third party vendor. ย If you choose to cancel your membership before the vial is empty you must throw out the remaining medication. ย If you cancel your membership within the first 30 days and have not opened the medication you must ship it back to the company at your expense. ย If you have canceled your membership within the first thirty days but have already opened the medication, you must throw out the medication.

This medication is not insulin and should not be used if you have type 1 diabetes or if you develop diabeticย ketoacidosis. Semaglutide should not be used with any other GLP-1 medications.
RISK OF THYROID CโCELL TUMORS. If you or any family members have been diagnosed with Multipleย Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome Type 2 or Medullary thyroid cancer you should not take Semaglutide. If youย have ever had pancreatitis consult with your medical provider as using Semaglutide can increase the risk ofย developing pancreatitis.

During the 2019, legislative session, Florida passed into law Chapter 456.47, Florida Statutes, which established standards of practice for telehealth services, including patient evaluations, record-keeping, and controlled substances prescribing.
